The elephants are big and heavy animals.
The African elephants are a bit bigger than the Asian elephants but their ears are larger and they have two sharp tusks.

The pregnancy period of the elephants is almost 22 months.They have a breeding between two or four years. When a "baby" elephants born they weight 90 kilograms and are one meter tall.

Elephants eat roots, grass, fruit and bark in large quantities. An adult elephant can consume up to 135 kg of food in a single day. It is estimated that an elephant needs about 225 kg of food per day and about 200 liters of water.
